The HKHA Chairman sent a letter to the Secretary for Labour and Welfare yesterday (November 27) to express support for the Labour and Welfare Bureau’s (LWB) newly introduced Technical Professionals (TP) project, which helps to mitigate the critical shortage of hotel technician staff. We have also shared HKHA’s proposed list for inclusion in the TP list submitted to Tourism Commission office the day before (November 26).
In addition, we urge LWB to comprehensively review the VPAS programme and expand its scope to include hospitality and tourism curricula starting from the Academic Year 2025/2026.
