We are delighted to announce that, with over a hundred hoteliers and representatives from relevant companies and organizations in attendance, the government-funded project “Development of an E-Guidebook for Good Practices for the Hong Kong Hotel Industry to Enhance its Business Sustainability and Competitiveness” successfully kicked off today.
This project, funded under the Trade and Industrial Organization Support Fund (TSF), aims to provide comprehensive guidance to hotel operators in Hong Kong on implementing sustainable practices and encouraging the industry to adopt measures to meet the long-term sustainable development goal. These practices will reduce environmental impact and enhance overall operational efficiency and competitiveness in the marketplace. The initiative will span 15 months, commencing on January 1, 2025, and concluding on March 31, 2026.
The Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) serves as the implementation agent, ensuring the delivery of quality outcomes. For further details and to stay updated on the project’s progress, please visit the ESG section of the Hong Kong Hotels Association website.
Special thanks to Dr Amie Lai and Dr Raymond Wong for sharing the latest trends and ESG developments in Hong Kong hotels and the global hospitality industry at the seminar.
