At the invitation of Legislative Council Member Hon. Vivian Kong Man wai, the Hong Kong Hotels Association (HKHA) attended a meeting with Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Chris Sun Yuk-han and his team to review the latest update regarding the Enhanced Supplementary Labour Scheme (ESLS). The Associations conveyed industry perspectives on the scheme’s renewal and approval process, local recruitment and manpower deployment, ongoing manpower shortages, operational challenges faced by hotels, and the need for greater flexibility in contractual working hours.
