The Hong Kong Hotels Association (HKHA), in partnership with the Fire Services Department (FSD), successfully organised two Building Emergency Responder (BER) Training sessions on 28 July and 23 October 2026, attracting nearly 300 participants from member hotels.
The programme enhanced participants’ knowledge of fire safety, emergency response and the use of essential safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, AEDs and smoke hoods. Participants also learned about the newly launched Building Emergency Preparedness Charter, which promotes higher standards of emergency preparedness in buildings and premises across Hong Kong.
HKHA would like to thank the FSD for its support in delivering this valuable training initiative and for helping strengthen emergency preparedness within the hospitality industry.
