The Government has launched the trade consultation on the “2023 Policy Address”. HKHA Executive Director participated in the consultation session hosted by the Financial Secretary today.
HKHA proposed the Government to arrange a free trial run for initial period of implementation of MSW Charging. For disposable plastic products, the Association suggested EPD to subsidies service providers to lower the development cost in production of alternative products. Also mentioned sustainability which good for destination image and welcome by tourists. Recommended the Government to consider build-in an incentive scheme to encourage ESG development for hotels.
