Hong Kong, as an international city, faces serious solid waste challenges. The hotel industry, as a key pillar of the service sector, generates various types of food waste, plastics, waste paper, and single-use items inevitably while delivering quality services. Innovative waste reduction and resource recycling have become key responsibilities and opportunities for the sector.
The Hong Kong Green Management Award (HKOGMA) is organised by Greeners Action. Now entering its third year, we are delighted to be a supporting organisation for the first time this year to promote sustainable development in the sector. Together with Greeners Action, we aim to promote sustainable development in the industry and recognize outstanding peers who excel in innovative environmental practices, source waste reduction, resource recycling, and sustainable development.
