On 23 October 2026, Mr. Patrick Chan, Head of Education and Training Sub-committee of the Human Resources Development Committee of the Hong Kong Hotels Association (HKHA), Director of Human Resources of Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong, conducted a sharing session, “Exploring the Hospitality Industry”, for Year 4 students at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU).
The session provided students with insights into current hospitality trends and industry practices, as well as practical tips for preparing for internship interviews and making the most of their upcoming internships. He also shared the importance of continuous personal development in building a successful hospitality career.
Students showed particular interest in real-world examples of sustainability initiatives and service excellence practices adopted by hotels. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A discussion, allowing students to gain valuable perspectives on career opportunities and industry expectations.
